The process of acquiring an additional language and becoming truly bi-lingual, bi-cultural and bi-literate is a laborious task. Exposure does not guarantee fluency and proficiency. Time, efforts and appropriate learning strategies are needed. With the integration of technology, learning could become more efficient and effective. Additionally, it also provides students with greater target language exposures. I write to share a repertoire of strategies and the benefits of integrating technology in the classroom, which not only facilitate language acquisition, but also foster concept development. The aim is to stimulate students' learning experiences and to develop their approach to learning skills through a concept- and inquiry-based language acquisition curriculum.
Additionally, I also blog about my big ideas of education and what we can all do to build self-regulated learners. |
